Vacation in Southern Illinois?

The beginning of the dream was voyeuristic- I was watching what seemed like an episode of COPS or The First 48 where some father was arrested for a DUI and, upon release, was stormed by his kids. In the episode, he was in trouble again because of the chaotic household. I became upset and talked at the episode on how it was wrong to criminally judge the family for having chaotic children.

I then became part of this episode. I was in a pool when I observed the woman married to the man in the episode talk to others around her. I saw palm trees and desert-type scenery around the pool and assumed that I was in the south west. As the dream progressed, my wife became a part of it. We walked around and I openly wondered where we were- nevertheless, the mood was upbeat, as though we were on a vacation. Our dog was with us as well. I glanced at a license plate and saw that it was an Illinois plate but had the county listed on the plate (which other states do, but not Illinois). The plate read "Price". I assumed then that we were in a southern county in Illinois, having never heard of a "Price County". Just then, my wife took our dog on a walk to visit the dam. I briefly had a lucid thought, thinking that this sure was a strange place for a vacation. At the same time, I was excited for it- what odd things to do were going to be in this small town?
