My wife and I went into the attic in our home. The way to the attic had changed from being a door and stairs to something of a hole in the ceiling where we had to use a ladder. Once up there I think we decided that we could get a "head start" on hiring someone to put a new roof on and remodel the attic by getting the shingles off by ourselves. We wound up having made huge holes in the roof, making the outside clearly visible. Taking this in from another perspective, we went outside and saw that several owls had taken up residence in the attic since the roof was partially destroyed. In the process of accessing the damage, I found myself on a scaffolding near the house and this wound up swinging left and right by 50 yards. The movement was expected and I didn't worry- but noticed that there were two large wings to the attic that I had never noticed before. Got the feeling that we'd have much more work to do and became very interested in what was inside those wings. I saw covered furniture and artwork.
