Trapped in the Southwest
I was among coworkers and we were all trying to get to different destinations to see different families we have on our caseload. At some point I began to wonder why, if we were working in Iowa, did our agency have us taking a train all the way down to New Mexico to see families. It was the typical scene- workers on thei cell phones, trying to contact DHS or other important players and smoking cigarettes inbetween calls. We were all waiting for a train to take up back to Iowa and we were all in the middle of no where. I looked behind us and saw Anasazi-like cliff dwelling mountain. Looked closer and saw it had painting on it and I wondered openly if we were on protected land. Last thing I remember is talking with a coworker about the viability of her traveling to Colorado Springs for the interstate adoption of a client she had.
